SONY STR-DH800 7.1-CHANNEL
Please with the purchase pricing 50% off !It sounds nice with Blu-ray disc' and enjoyable with 4 HDMI outputs . I've already read about the complication of instruction manual as already mentioned from previous reviews and found out it's for real ! Going back to posted reviews several times and managed to set up the unit to function ....

Good product for the price
Believe or not I purchased this product because of it's size. Got a new entertainment center and my old receiver/amp was too deep to set in properly. Overall that's a pretty lame excuse to buy a new receiver. I've had the receiver for about 3 or 4 weeks and it seems to work fine. For me it serves the purpose...

I did like the video switching capabilities and most of the other features it offered. The physical setup was fairly typical but the configuration setup was not as straight forward. I would have much preferred an on screen (TV screen) menu system. The menus/display is a little hard to read from across the room.

I already have decent speakers & a subwoofer, so it was much cheaper than buying a home theater system. I was a little disappointed in the wireless speaker option, I thought it would allow me to hook up MY rear surround speakers wirelessly. If I understand it correctly, the optional wireless connection is built into speakers that are part of the "kit". Not what I wanted.

Can't beat it for the price
For the price I paid for it, there is nothing even close...amazing value. Not sure about the other reviews from people saying this receiver was hard to set up, I found it very straight forward. Has all the features I need, using 5.1 with seperate B front channels for stereo listening. It sounds great in my living room. At $214 I couldn't pass this one up.
