Date: 2009-09-27 Blu-Ray Drive Died After Warranty I purchased the PS/3 a little over a year ago which at the time was ~$500. I bought it to play blu-ray movies only. With light use after the one year warranty expired, the drive will no longer recognize any type of disc. Based on Internet searches, this is a very common PS/3 quality failure. Sony wants $150 to send it in for analysis. The PS/3 is part of my home theater and is in pristine condition. Sony what a rip-off!! DO NOT buy this equipment. Sony quality has really gone down!! I have already purchased a LG-BD390 which also, unlike Sony, allows me to view Netflix movies. Date: 2009-09-27 died after 6 months light use I used mine for a couple of hours on weekends and it lasted about 6 months and now there is no video out. This is a common problem. The games were great while it worked and the graphics were amazing. Too bad it Sony has all these quality control issues. Date: 2009-09-26 The Best This is the best game sytem ever its way better then the 360 and if u want more gb just pick up a new hdd hard drive disk but the best ever Date: 2009-09-23 buy it while it last i brought mine long time ago soon this original ps3 doesn't manufacture anymore after since the new ps3 slim just came out after they lower the price sell $299.99 with 120gb... special feature you can buy and upgrade hard drive up to 300gb or more, you can download anime, shows or movie transfer on your ps3. you can go online free chatting with your friends and family. it can play both on blu-ray and dvd much more clear then 360. you can sit on your sofa watch or play Date: 2009-09-23 Playstation 3 The Playstation 3 is everything I expected it to be and more. The graphics are beautiful and so lifelike. And it connects to the internet wirelessly which is great. The wireless controller is great also and it stays charged up a long time. Feature wise, it has everything one could want in a play station. Well worth the money. * Price is subject to change. |
