Great TV, so-so delivery
I went to look at this TV (and others) at the local Circuit City, and couple of things struck me. First, these TVs will look much larger in your home than in the stores. You need a big room for a big TV, unless maybe you have a dedicated theater room with nothing but AV equipment and a couch. This is not that kind of TV ... but it is a huge step up from your typical CRT (old style) TV.

Next, all these TVs look good, but the Sony's picture is wonderful - I received my TV just in time for baseball's All-Star game, and it was great. Setup is easy. The only downside might be that you will be disappointed in the appearance of any NTSC channels you still watch... partly due to the large screen and partly by comparison to HD channels.

Seems like the "white glove" delivery service varies by locale. For me, the driver clearly wanted to do as little as possible and get out. Delivery, but nothing more ... plus they require the usual 4 hour delivery window.

Amazon did have the cheapest price I found for this TV though, when you consider the sales tax. You can buy the TV locally for the same price, but you'll have to pay tax.

All in all, I'm very satisfied.

fantastic t.v. by Sony
I was a little off put that an unknown company was delivering this T.V. but was overwhelmed by the courtesy and professionalism of Ceva who installed the t.v. for us and ensured everything was working.

After a hard day of figuring out the settings we have finally got it working to our satisfaction - had to run out to the cable store to get a component cable but well worth it.

The picture is vivid and clear on all channels - even the SD blow my mind away and I was unprepared for the quality of the HD picture - I am not easily impressed but this t.v. for $700 is WOW.

The settings on the t.v. are easy to use - found out the hard way that on SD channels to use the wide on the t.v. remote not the cable remote - and on HD channels it configures itself and if we want to zoom in we use the cable remote.

The Menus are easy to navigate, a lot of easy to use options.

We love all the inputs and we tried out the digital camera and boy was it neat to plug and play so to speak. We will try out the digi cam later.

A nice idea that you can use this as your computer monitor too - not tried it but may do another time.

Love that a lot of menu settings are accessed by buttons on the set itself as well as on the remote - I am way too bad at losing the remote.

Now it is up to the t.v. stations to get there act together and broadcast more hd for us to watch.

Sony is a great brand and this t.v. lived up to the reputation.

Economy Sony
The initial setup went well, but the number of digital stations that I received initially was disappointing. However my roof antenna leads to two different splitters and it services 3 different sets located in 3 different rooms. I expected that the signal to the Sony would be on the weak side.

My solution to the problem was to purchase and install a powered indoor antenna amplifier rated at 25 db. The signal boost was terrific and I am very satisfied with the number of digital TV stations that this set picks up. I know that I shall probably not watch many of them.

The remote controls only this set, but it is easy to use and it does the job.

Overall I am very satisfied with the quality of the images that the Sony receives and I believe it was worth the $699 that I paid for it.

Best value for money and a brand name to boot
Compared Sony and Vizio and went with Sony for just $70 more.

The picture quality is amazing and at 32" there is no discernable difference between 720p and 1080p. The setup is a breeze and the QAM tuner can get some extra digital channels from cable at no extra charge.

Not much pixelation during action and the backlight feature makes viewing a pleasure.
