White Glove, Waste of Time, Great TV.
I waited until this TV was in stock with Amazon.com rather than buy it through an Amazon Vendor. The reason being I wanted to take advantage of the White Glove Delivery. My advice to you is dont waste your time. if you are going to buy this TV then get it from the cheapest source which is most likely Amazon, however dont have to high expectations on White Glove delivery. I was originally told delivery would be before Christmas, however I had phone call Christmas Eve and was told delivery could be 12/27 at the earliest. When the guys showed up they took it out the box and plugged in the Power That was it. They were in the house 6 minutes. If you struggle with HDMI cables, Surround System etc you might want to consider Geek Squad or a local vendor for set up although it is vry easy .TV is Fantastic though and outways by far the poor attitude and actions of the delivery company.

Great TV from Sony!
This TV truly delivers - great picture, great looks, 120 Hz and a matte screen, which was an important factor in the decision. Looked at the Samsung 650 (screen was too glossy for our situation) and the Samsung 630, but the Sony was on sale and had just as good a picture, to my "subjective" eyes... Also gave serious consideration to the Sony 52" XBR6, but just couldn't justify spending the extra $600 - I bought a new Denon 2309 receiver with the money I saved! Very happy with the purchase!

No discount here
This TV is promoted as on sale. Thats not the case. You can buy cheaper elsewhere. Why are internet vendors doing this? TImes are hard and they try to spoof a fake discount.

RUN AWAY RUN AWAY
What a total farce, Blu ray beats HD.... HDMI Cables?? Compatibility???

$4500 dollars for NOTHING!! OK so I bought into the hype that Blu ray won the HD Race. I buy into the interoperability of SONY and THE hollywood ONLY serving HDMI Cable... I buy a new $3500 TV (Sony 1080P/24-52") and a new Sony Blue Ray Player and a new BLUE RAY FILMED MOVIE for three TIMES the price of a standard DVD and put them together only to discover that I have black lines (letterbox) on my TV, The picture is a little worse than a standard DVD, the menu system works like a $27 VCR. The "Interoperability" between the Sony TV and the SONY BD works about like free air digital TV. And the Audio is like listening to a 3 transistor radio...

What a total JOKE!! ANYONE CONSIDERING UPGRADING TO ALL THE "NEWEST" because of ALL THE HYPE, Leave your money in your pocket. Go buy a cheeseburger and put the remainder in a 401k. When what you have breaks, get new average price stuff. When you pay all the big bucks for all the best you get NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING!
Maybe someone else's BD/TV actually works (oh wait a minute, ALL BD is Based on SONY technology....)

Sony (who made my PSP, PS3, Nav System, TVx5, BD Player and PDA has seen the last of my credit card.

MY NEW $500 BD Player hooked up to my new $3500 52" LCD TV, wants to operate in PAN-N-Scan mode in order to utilize the other 30% of the $100 per square inch real estate I bought from sony.

I though Pan-N-Scan died with Beta Max....

In closing, you would get the exact same experience (Maybe better with a $27 480i DVD Player, a $99 "Home theater system" and a No Name Rear Projection 50" DONT BUY DONT BUY DONT BUY

The Best of the Best!
Did a lot of research. Narrowed choice to Sony W4100, Samsung LCD A650 and Panasonic PZ800 Plasma. Saw all 3 at Best Buy and that clinched it! Picture was great on all 3, but not bright enough on Panasonic. Reviews on Samsung had a lot of negatives so opted for Sony. Couldn't be happier. White glove delivery was great! Picture is superb, even SD (Comcast cable), HD absolutely awesome! Replaced a 52" JVC lycos, which was great, but this is way better, plus no bulb to replace every year.. Setup was easy (white glove did this), Only downside on purchase, Amazon lowered price $200. since purchase, but that's okay. I've had a month to enjoy! Buy it, you won't be sorry!
