Date: 2010-05-30 Works flawlessly! Very easy to install. Once in place, it's use is transparent. I'm using one with a Sony playstation 3, a Phillips DVD player, and a Vizio TV. When I turn on the PS3,the splitter automatically changes to that device. I have tested the remote control and it works, but I never use the remote because the self switching makes it unnecessary. Date: 2010-05-28 Just What I Needed - And At A Great Price Too This product was just what I needed to solve my problem needing to add more hdmi equipment to not enough hdmi inputs on my hdtv (3 hdmi inputs). It has allowed me to connect 4 different electronics via hdmi, plus the ability to add one more. I didn't think I would need the remote but the only negative is the units light weight. It's not heavy enough to hold a position as it's at the mercy of the attached hdmi cables. So it kind of hangs in limbo behind the electronics instead of sitting in a spot on top of everything else. I do like the blue light that displays inside the top of the entertainment center when the unit receives a signal from a player that's been powered on. So far, so good. Date: 2010-05-27 Fixed HDMI handshake issues I was having with my PS3 If you are having handshake issues with your PS3 and TV try running this little box in between them (whether you need the extra ports or not). I have a 47" 1080p Westinghouse and a PS3 slim and this alleviated any issues I was having. I do have to program my Harmony universal remote to change the box, sometimes it does it automatically. Works great. I have had it for about a year, with no problems at all.
