Date: 2010-07-19 Great for a time, quit after six months of light use It was great for a while, but like so many of these no-name cheapo electronics, it crapped out after only six months. Buy two, so it lasts the year. Date: 2010-07-16 HD Video Switcher When i received this product it looked pretty ordinary and small enough to fit in the palm of your hand so could this device really work given the price and its size.I was surprised how well it does work it will switch a device to first priority second, or third when the power to that device is turned off.Their is a remote so you can use it to change the priority yourself or do it manually. The picture and sound quality looks great their is no noticeable change. The one thing that bother me was the really bright LED light on the device but overall it does the job its suppose to do so if you can't afford to get a new TV with more hd connections this item will solve your problem its cheap and effective. Date: 2010-07-16 Works great, especially for the price This little device works flawlessly. I switch between a Dish HD DVR, and an Apple TV, and it just works great. The little IR receiver allows me to tuck the device in the back. When switching to the Apple TV, the AppleTV takes a little while to sense the signal, but I think this is mostly the AppleTV fault as the Dish receiver always hooks up perfect. Also, I have a really old, no-name piece of junk TV that the AppleTV has always had problems with. So, works perfect, no complaints. Date: 2010-07-10 Buyer be Were ! I made my purchase based on others reviews. It was to be a win win for my set up issue. But like the 1 out of the 20 reviews I read, mine didn't work. It would only switch channels with the remote, has a port for a power adapter but no power adapter was sent. Also says it dosnt need one one, or dose it for the auto switching of channels to work. For the cheap price its not worth returning just better to buy another one. With the remote it will process HDMI signals. My channel 3 always flashes it dose not support the signal yet still shows the picture at 720P, Its cheap and you'll get what you'll get, Good Luck ! Date: 2010-07-10 It's Okay, but if you can look around you might find a better one. I have a Sony Blu-Ray Player and a Western Digital WD TV Live Network-ready HD Media Player hooked up to the HDMI switch. I also use the infared remote sensor provided, and the remote. With the remote, I cannot change inputs at all unless the Blu-Ray player is on. Some people have mentioned that the switch can automatically sense which device was on and activate that port, I have not experienced that at all. I wish I had, my reviews would be glowing if it worked as the reviewers reported. There are not really any instructions, then again I was hoping that it was a super easy setup. I am either missing something incredibly obvious or this device is not nearly as cool as I thought it would be. It barely meets my needs, but it does meet them. * Price is subject to change. |
