Date: 2009-02-13 Still great, 6 months later I saved up all of last summer to buy an LCD or Plasma TV. I finally decided on this model, and after half a year, I am sure I made the right call. I have it connected to an HDTV cable box, a PS3, and a wii, and everything looks incredible. When I was browsing through Best Buy, I couldn't even tell a difference between 1080p and 720p in a set of this size, so sticking with the 720p is a great way to save. My one complaint would be that sometimes it seems like there is a small flash of white, or at least a lighter color, when a scene shifts to something really dark. Maybe that's because I don't have everything set up perfectly, but it's really a minor inconvenience. Long story short - this is a great looking TV set that is affordable and reliable, even 6 months later. I highly recommend it. Date: 2009-02-12 A Great Deal Samsung PN42A450 42-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV is just an outstanding deal. Even though it's (only) 720P, the picture is superb. The transaction with Amazon and it's shippers was flawless. Date: 2009-02-11 TV Heaven I purchased the Samsung 42" Plazma TV and am more than pleased. I loved the plug and play feature that made it so easy to set up. The picture is fantastic and minor adjustments are very user friendly. This is the perfect TV for someone who wants a nice up to date easy set up HDTV with a screen that provides easy viewing but does not overpower the room it is in. Date: 2009-01-28 42" Plasma Price for this unit was great, however you get what you pay for. The quality is not as good as an LCD. I have a 32" Samsung and it is great. If I could return my Plasma I would. I would purchase an LCD. Date: 2009-01-28 Samsung 42" plasma 720p HDTV Pros: Great value for the price. Looks good. Beautiful picture. Cons: None so far. The set compliments the 24" Samsung LCD set that I also have. It is perfect for the location that I have Placed it in. The set operates well, is easy to set up and use, with vivid colors and all sorts of features. For example, you can optimize the mode (standard, sports, movies, games) that you are in so that the sound and picture are properly enhanced. Virtual surround sound is good, but does not compare to the real thing. I am extremely happy with this set. * Price is subject to change. |
