Date: 2009-07-26 Love This Unit! I purchased this unit back in February this year and I absolutely LOVE this unit. I have recorded probably 50 dvd's on it and the picture is great. I am recording on the LP mode which is the third from the best XP mode! I have another Toshiba dvd/vcr recorder and between the two, this one is my favorite! Date: 2009-07-21 A few months in, it's completely useless. I've had this less than six months. It is dead. Completely dead. It doesn't get power, and there's a dvd trapped inside. They'll replace it, for $80, plus shipping. Supposedly they'll return my dvd and send me a new machine. Don't buy this. Maybe I got a lemon, but it's ridiculous that a machine as expensive as this lasted so little time. Date: 2009-07-13 Great Recorder Its very easy to dub from vhs to dvd. You can select recording mode for the dvd from fitting in one to 8 hours of video on one disc albeit with loss of quality. Then you just press one button on the remote labeled dubbing and away you go with your conversion. You can also record tv shows onto the dvd. The instruction manual is very easy to use and explains everything. Love the product. All burns have been consistently good with no problems. Using DVD+R disks namebrand. Its exactly what I have been looking for to convert vhs tapes to dvd. Get it while available or another comparable newer Toshiba model. Date: 2009-05-21 Fantastic! Once i set this machine up and figured out how to dub a vhs tape to a DVD i was sooo satisfied. Its easy! Highly recommend. Date: 2009-04-24 VHS/DVD Burner I purchased this device for the sole purpose of converting all of my old video tapes to DVDs. I am nearly finished with the project and it has done an outstnding job.
