Date: 2008-11-24 My first Samsung TV (ex Sony owner) Simply amazing!, This is my first TV from Samsung and let me tell you i don't miss my old Sony one bit... The feature set, image quality, the whole design leaves you speechless. This LCDTV is built to last, it feel like a solid quality product. The remote control, though it does lack a few things here and there (not a universal remote and lacks a sleep and pip button) feels solid and it is not one of those flimsy remotes you find in other brands. Even normal signal TV works decent on this set with its advance filters to take care of the problem. Another plus is the 120Hz processing, as SPORTS look like SPORTS!, I have seen lower quality Sony's (not the XBR) leave trails while watching soccer games but not this baby. Samsung has won me over as a customer with product and I am one of those guys who used to says "Samsung TV?" I can assure you it wont be the last. Date: 2008-11-23 Great TV & Monitor First, the shipping was early by days and excellent. This panel looks great. Looks is what counts. Sound is fine, but I always use my 5.1 for shows that matter. The device switch does take about 5 seconds. I use it as a monitor to show movies, read web pages, view hulu, etc. The 1080p looks great. Using WinDVD 9 with the uplift of standard DVD looks excellent. I miss staring at panels at C***co and B****y. I like the clear screen, even with a little glare sometimes. I can reduce the glare. I cannot make a mat screen clear. Date: 2008-11-23 Excellent TV for the price Before making this purchase I was looking to buy either a Samsung or Sony LCD television. I am glad I went with Samsung, the colors are great, the contrast is great and the price is great. We all enjoy the TV and Movie experience. I also got a Samsung BD-P2500 to play DVD and Blu-Ray disks. I personally think that this TV beats the over priced cousin Sony. I picked this model instead of 750 and 850 because it was affordable and I didn't really care for some of the newer features. I would recommend 650 over 550 as the technical specs are better like 4ms response time. Date: 2008-11-23 Great TV, Great Deal especially with Free Blueray player TV arrived this morning. Works perfectly. I had no issues with a glare in a bright room. Sound quality is very good. Picture is amazing. I also got a free blu-ray player though a sort of hidden amazon promotion. I didnt see the promotion until it almost ended, but it looks like they reupped it. If you get the tv look at this blu-ray player (Samsung BD-P1500) and see if the same $200 off promotion still applies. The promotion now and then appears on the front page of the electonics site. Great deal. I haven't hooked up the blu-ray yet because I have no DVDs. You will not find a better price. White glove delivery was very prompt. I ordered the TV Monday morning and I could have had it delivered yesterday (Friday) but I had to work and postponed it to today. The blu-ray arrived Wednesday. Hope you buy and enjoy!
