Date: 2009-06-14 Great picture before display/picture stopped working. The SAMSUNG LN46A6501F worked great until it stopped working. I purchased this exact LCD TV from Amazon and 4 months in, but (as of yesterday) there is never any picture (and the firmware was up to date) and now the TV turns itself on and off intermittently. If there's never any picture then I cannot see any menus to try and troubleshoot. From other user boards, this appears to be a common issue for Samsung LCD's. Looks like I have to have the entire main board replaced. Am in process with Samsung on that. I am writing now as this appears to be a common issue within the first 4-6 months of the SAMSUNG LN 6 Series. The other reason for the 3 stars is that Samsung's user documentation would be improved by adding a one-sheet with the standard set up info. If Apple can do this, why can't other vendors? Date: 2009-06-05 Beautiful Beautiful display for the price. We only have a handful of HD channels, but they look great. For the price this was an excellent choice for us. I don't use a lot of the "extra" features, like ethernet connection, or ability to plug in a usb drive, but nice knowing they're there. I do wish the Standard def channels looked a little nicer. But when you're magnifying the signal into a bigger screen (we replaced a 32" set) You're bound to be unhappy with the picture. Watch the prices. This was cheaper than NewEgg here at Amazon by $100... Was the other way around the week leading up to the purchase. Glad I came back to check. Solid choice!! Date: 2009-06-03 LCDs have come a long way This television is spectacular! I watch a lot of sports and I couldn't ask for a better picture. The sound is great too. I'm very glad I went with this LCD rather than a plasma. I can't see any difference in the picture quality and I don't have to worry about burn-in. Only con I see is the controls on the front panel of the TV. You totally cannot see them at all, even if you look closely. You need a flashlight to see them. Otherwise, great TV. Date: 2009-06-01 ln46a650 Samsung LN46A650 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of ColorI purchased this product form amazon on april,comes with sealed factory pack.I even not hooked it up with blueray player or similar devices to see the difference of picture quality but its looks much better with cable connection all channels are crystal clear on this tv.So far this tv gives my family great quality entertainment and we are happy with the purchase. Date: 2009-05-29 Another great Samsung TV I have two Samsung TV's (a 61" DLP and a 27" LCD for the kitchen) and ordered this TV for a friend as he didn't have an Amazon account and isn't computer savvy. I then set it up for him using some default settings I gleaned from the great avsforums.com website. All I can say is, wow, this is just a great TV. I can't imagine a LCD TV looking any better. The TV was delivered to my house and arrived in perfect condition and several days ahead of schedule. The shipping company contacted me several hours prior to delivery, couldn't have gone better in that respect. I also know a couple of other friends who have this same TV and they love it too. I'm going to be getting one for my bedroom in a few months, when we're done with a kitchen/master BR/master bath remodel. Highly recommended. * Price is subject to change. |
