Beautiful TV, Great Buy!
I recently bought this TV and am very impressed with it. I admit I was nervous about purchasing such a large expensive item online, but when I started comparing prices, there was no contest. I estimate I saved at least $500 buying from Amazon rather then a typical brick and mortar store. I live in California so just the savings in sales tax was more then enough to cover the cost of shipping. Although I had to wait a week for delivery the white glove service was outstanding and the dollar savings was well worth the extra time!

As for the television itself, it's a dream. the picture quality is outstanding-crisp, clear, and because it's an LCD it's glare free. Even when it's turned off it's a beautiful piece, the deep red glass surrounding the LCD screen is gorgeous.

I have DirectTV upgraded to HD and the quality is simply amazing. All I needed to get going was an HDMI cable (given to me by Direct TV when they did my upgrade)and a power strip. I plugged the set in, turned it on and was mesmerized for the whole weekend.

I also purchased a Samsung Blu-ray disc player which was a snap to install using another HDMI cable (purchased through Amazon) and with a compatible remote control everything works seamlessly together.

A great product. I highly recommend!!!

Couldn't be happier!
First of all, I am no expert on HDTVs but I shopped for almost 6 months before I made my decision. I became a regular at the local Circuit City. I know for a fact they got tired of me just looking and not purchasing from the store. I had the LN46A650 next to the comparable Sony LCD HDTV 1080p 120mhz model. In the dark lighting of the store the pictures were very close to the same. It seemed to me that the Samsung had just a slight crisper image. The only real difference I could tell was the price.

I decided on the Samsung and I couldn't be more thrilled. For a first time purchaser of HDTV I am still amazed by the quality and clearness of this picture. The remote is a bit large but easy to use. It only took me about 30 minutes to figure out how to use all the features of the TV. You can control just about anything you want as far as color goes. The same can be said about the contrast and or brightness. I have basically left my TV at the factory settings with only minor tweaks.

The sound is okay. I plan to upgrade to a surround sound system to make the viewing experience even better. I can live with the sound for now.

Over all I am very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this TV. For the price I could not find another unit that was even remotely close. I almost forgot, the 4 HDMI ports come in handy when you are hooking up any external devices.

Enjoying the Samsung set.
We are really enjoying our set. It was a very wise choice to purchase this brand on our part. We have had the set for only a month but we have no regrets at this time. We would like to do another review in about 5 months. We will probably purchase a 40 inch soon. Thank you Amazon and Samsung too!

I love my new tv!!!
I wanted to make sure and leave feedback on my new Samsung LN46A650. I did my research on consumer reports, read all customer reviews, etc. That's how I found out that amazon.com had it at the best price. I was worried about making a big purchase like this online and also about having it shipped to my house. The white glove delivery service was great- no problems whatsoever. I love everything about the tv. After reading all the reviews about it, I knew exactly what I was getting and what to expect.

Worth it
Some major notes:
1. Like everyone else, I did my homework. There is not a TV with these specs that has a better value!
2. I began looking last christmas for a TV and waited on the sidelines while the prices dropped. To those who are still waiting - prices will continue to fall, especially as new models are unveiled. After having this TV at home for a week, the last thing I am thinking about is how I could have saved another $100 or whatever. This TV is so amazing, I wish I had bought it sooner. I was going to buy it here but when I went to take one last look at it at my local electronics store, it was only $30 more so I just got it there. But I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon and love their service.
3. This TV is begging for Blu Ray. DVD's on a normal player look terrible; the set is too good for it. Non HD cable channels also don't look too good, compared to the HD channels. The HD Cable TV is phenomenal, and it only broadcasts at 1080i compared to the Blu Ray's at 1080p. I knew there was a difference from cable TV to HD cable, and to 1080p but actually seeing it is such a huge difference. I had not really considered a Blue Ray before, but I am going to buy one very soon. This TV is made for super high def. I just can't shake the feeling that this TV is not complete without the Blu Ray.
4. The TOC is super subtle. I can barely see it. It is not 'lit up' as the marketing suggests. This is my first big screen and we are very happy with it. I was concerned that I got a broken TV because it was so subtle but I called Samsung and said it is not actually lit up. The frame is merely translucent and there is just a small amount of red material inside that you can see when a light source hits it.

It is also very light to pick up. I loaded and unloaded it myself, but had help getting it up to my fireplace.
