User Submitted Toshiba REGZA 32CV510 32-inch 720p LCD HDTV Reviews Date: 2008-12-02 Great Affordably Priced TV I first saw the Toshiba Regza at my gym, and I couldn't get over how clean the picture looked. There are also some Samsung TVs set up, but I can honestly say the picture did not look as nice. I've had the Regza for a few months now, and I really can't say enough good things about it... 1. The picture quality is excellent, especially considering its not 1080i. Images are clear and crisp, the blacks are back (which is a problem for some TVs), and the colors are brilliant. I don't have any HD cable or upconverting DVD player hooked up to it yet, just a regular old DVD player and the Nintendo Wii. Both look absolutely great. 2. Currently I do not have a home theater set up, but this TV pumps out a good amount of volume. It's not in a huge space by any stretch, but if I play Guitar Hero at a volume greater than 25 or so, I worry that I might disturb my neighbors. 3. Very light weight! I plan on mounting the unit to the wall some time in the near future, and I'd like to be able to get a mount that allows me to change the angle as well as the position of the TV. Check out the prices on Amazon. Once you start getting into the massive, heavy TVs, the price to mount them skyrockets. Maybe this isn't a concern for you, but it was for me. 4. There are a lot of available connections on the Regza: 1 x VGA input ( 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15) ) - rear 2 x HDMI ( 19 pin HDMI Type A ) - rear 1 x digital audio output (optical) ( TOSLINK ) - rear 2 x component video input ( RCA phono x 3 ) - rear 1 x composite video input ( RCA phono ) - rear 1 x S-Video input ( 4 pin mini-DIN ) - rear 4 x audio line-in ( RCA phono x 2 ) - rear 1 x fixed audio output ( RCA phono x 2 ) - rear 1 x HDMI ( 19 pin HDMI Type A ) - side For what I have, I can't imagine needing more any time soon. I guess if you're someone with a dozen auxiliary devices you might have a problem, but for the majority of the population this is probably plenty. 5. Its an aesthetically pleasing system. Some of the TVs I've seen set up in stores are ugly. The simple, clean-lines look of the Regza makes it a very attractive electronic device. Toshiba spends most of their money in product research instead of advertising. It really shows when it comes to this TV in my opinion. I know there are more expensive TVs out there with more bells and whistles, but if you're looking to stay within a budget I highly recommend this product! Date: 2008-10-31 Great TV The setup was easy and the picture looked great right out of the box. It has plenty of inputs and located conveniently on the back as well as side of the TV. The picture was fantastic in High Definition and blue-ray movies looked absolutely amazing. Its an excellent HDTV for the price and I would highly recommend. Date: 2008-10-29 beautiful tv i'm so happy i got the toshiba regza. i wouldnt get anything else. great picture. it doesnt say anywhere that it handles pictures in 1080 i, but it does, becuase there is much more detail in 1080 i broadcasts than 720p. it looks great with dvds. easy to set up. has multiple picture settings. easy to use. all around good tv. cant complain Date: 2008-04-30 Very pleased with this affordable LCD Bought this tv from Amazon last week. Used free shipping method and it arrived 3 days after order. Nice, considering estimate was a week longer. Setup was a snap and the picture and sound quality are great. Even with Standard definition signals, it looks very good. DVDs look even better in standard definition. I then switched to an upconverting DVD player which is the first HDMI interfaced component I have tried. Wow. Can't wait to switch to a High Def signal once I do that. Very pleased with it so far.
