Date: 2008-04-29 Second Chance 4 years ago I bought a Samsung 42" Dlp Television and it was great when it worked, but I constantly had issues with fan noise, the color wheel etc. When my son was born, I stayed home for a few weeks to help out.. Of course the Samsung dies in the middle of an all nighter with a gassy baby.. I decided to give Samsung another try and I am definately impressed with the Samsung HLT5687SAX 56-inch Slim LED Engine 1080p DLP HDTV. I was blown away by the crisp picture low fan noise and the piano finish. Amazon was about $800 less than anyone local and with free shipping the price was to good too pass up.. I gave the product 4 stars because I am still angry that I had to buy another Samsung after only 4 years.. Long story short, if you are tired of fooling with Color Wheels and replacement bulbs I would definately give this product a look.. Date: 2008-04-26 A winner! I have been looking to replace my Sceptre LCD TV that has failed for the second time, deciding upon Sammy's HLT-xx87 if I could find one for a decent price. This 5687 from Amazon's subsidiary, warehouse_deals, is a wonderful TV. A 50" unit would have been fine but I got pushed into a larger size by a friend. I have no complaints, other than dust clinging to the bezel. But I can't say anything about its up-converting abilities as hasn't been explored yet. Date: 2008-04-24 Best bang for the buck Had this TV for about a month and: Pros - nice looking thin edge - 5-6 seconds from power on to viewing - easy connector access - viewable with sun light reflection coming directly from behind viewer Cons - None yet. SAMSUNG IS AWESOME AND A GREAT PRICE.FIRST TIME BUYER AT AMAZON AND I WILL DEFINITELY DO IT AGAIN Date: 2008-04-21 Awesome! This TV was everything I expected it to be and more. The picture quality is amazing and I haven't even gotten the opportunity to seen anything in 1080p yet. Looking forward to checking that out. Also contrary to what others have posted about the delivery companies sucking, the guys that delivered and set up my tv were very courteous, professional, and ahead of schedule! Thanks again Amazon!
