User Submitted Elitescreens 100-Inch Electric Home Theater Screen Reviews Date: 2008-11-21 BUY! THIS SCREEN If your looking for a screen for your HD projector, this is perfect and priced right. I priced this at other sites and came back here. I saw it for as much $499 on other sites. The electric motion is quiet and steady. The remote range leaves a little bit to be desired. You have to be within about 25 feet of the screen for the remote to work. Besides that the unit went up easy and works great. Oh, it looks great with the HD projector also. Date: 2008-10-18 Great screen. This is a great screen for the price looks and works great...some buyers have had problems mostly due to shipping damages (mine arrived with some box damage but the contents were fine).replaced a cheapo pull down screen and happy I did.only flaw very minor is that my harmony remote would activate the screen when selecting the old s-vhs deck to watch a tape with on the tv...the IR codes must have been similar for turning on the vcr and rolling the screen down, but you could hardwire the screen and block the sensor or send the vcr to the graveyard which is what i did. Date: 2008-08-17 Screen Trigger Screen quality is excellant but the trigger function needs improvement. Using one of the reviews posted on the customer comments I tried using a CAT5/6 cable to connect the screen to my projector (Mistubishi 5000U). The screen motor makes a clicking sound when I power on my projector but does not drop down. Also, I did not get the wall unit switch as mentioned in the product description. Amazon although reduced the cost fractionally to match the current cost of the screen, they still haven't sent me a new switch as communicated by the Amazon representative. Date: 2008-08-08 The screen moving up and down at its own will I have returned the screen because of the malfunction. It only comes with the remote control and does not include the wired wall-mount control ($50 + shipping if purchase from elitescreen.com). When I first set it up and connected it with power, without touching any button on the remote control, the screen started moving down for a few seconds, then going back up for a few seconds, then moving down again, and then moving up again, .... It keeps doing that at its own will for no reason and I have no ways of making it to stop. Removed batteries from the remote control did not help. At a point, the screen started to tilt and eventually stuck in the middle of the operation. Date: 2008-06-12 Fantastic Product for a great price I purchased this screen from amazon for $250, a far cry from the $350-$450 that others were selling it for. It arrived in 5 days and I was eager to put it up. I will agree that it can be put up in 5-10 minutes, but it's a two person job because of the length of the product. Once it was up, the remote brought it down smoothly and quietly - albeit, slowly. The picture from my Infocus IN72 (480p) was much better than expected. I have a controlled lighting environment, which does help. Two minor issues: 1) The power cord doesn't reach the outlets on the floor (I hung it from a 10 foot ceiling), which just means I need to install a power box in the ceiling. 2) My box only came with the IR remote. No 3 way wall switch which was mentioned in the description from Amazon. It should be noted, Amazon did refund 15% to cover the cost of the 3 way switch so I could purchase it separately. They also price adjusted by $10 because the price changed within 30 days. So, $200 out the warehouse -- fantastic deal! EDIT: This is also RF, not just IR. So, those with Harmony remotes that do RF can take advantage of it.
