wireless extender
works great! Found out it worked better when I assigned the ports to each device.

So easy to set up!!!
Logitech Harmony RF Wireless Extender

I'm not sure Logitech did a good job of marketing for this product. I didn't quite understand how it worked before purchasing it. It was so easy... First, I didn't understand the device itself it an infrared transmitter... Each of the 4 ports, will support 2 devices (with the RF Extender cables) for a total of 8 devices! Sweet! But I plugged the device into the USB port on my iMac and connected it... Set a few options, then updated my Harmony 1000 remote and bam... Done! I set the device infront of my equipment and didn't need to use one of the ports provided (at least not yet)... Also Z Electra (seller on Amazon) was GREAT!! Very fast shipping!!!

Perfect, brilliant
First thing I must point out is what the other reviewer said:
Even though the Harmony 1000 can control 15 devices, and this RF-IR is supposed to be an extension of the remote... and in fact physically is able to control however many devices that can be within IR-shot, however the useless logitech software only lets you select up to 8 of the devices in the list to be sent to the RF extender instead of the Harmony! but you could have 2 RF extenders. Note that the Logitech web site does not mention this limitation, and even says it can support all the devices that you can fit into the cupboard, so my advice is to complain to Logitech to either lift that restriction or send you a free additional RF extender to live up to their claim of 15 devices!

IR wires are poor
The devices works great. I sync'd the extender and the Harmony 1000 and had everything working quite nicely. But, I am very unhappy with the IR wires. The adhesive on the emitters is very poor. Three of the five attached emitters fell off within the first 3 weeks.

Poor Product Markings on Package
RF Extender box states only that "Designed for Harmony RF Remotes" yet shows no product numbers for guidance. Bought Extender with Remote 670. Told afterward by Harmony Customer Service that only 880, 890 and 1000 remotes would work. Returned 670, and bought Remote 880, but that didn't work. Harmony Customer Service then said only 890 or 1000 would work, and that there was no record of our first call to document the contradictory advice. Quality of Harmony staff seems very mixed, as are their printed instructions and product guidance on the RF Extender's box.
