Great Televison, Superb Picture Quality
In our fast paced world of HDTV's with 1080i and DLP, we are only starting to unearth more problems. Colors burn out, the television won't turn on, and the ridiculous pricing for purchasing and repair.

If you look back about four to five years ago, CRT was the very first step towards HDTV. When they first came out, prices were grossly expensive, with prices ranging from $599-$6999. Then, LCD came out, and prices dropped to $355-$4899. And when HDTV with 720p came out, prices kept on coming down. Today, prices range from $175-$2999. People may think that CRT is old technology, but believe me, it is an excellent television. While is may only have 480i, the picture quality is astounding. And now that prices have dropped so low, they are a more budget-friendly option to HDTV.

Pros:
-Excellent Picture Quality
-Colors can really stand out
-Brightness levels are great
-Most CRT televisions are HD ready.
-DVD Player and Game Console ready.

Cons:
-Doesn't rival picture quality of HDTV.

Overall, this is a great buy for families who want HDTV quality, but without the HDTV prices.

Good TV with excellent picture
We purchased this as an extra TV for a home office. It has a fine picture and the A/V inputs we need for a VCR and a DVD player.

Same Problem
I had a strange green splotch show up on the left side of the television. Also, the remote control has stopped working, but that could be the result of the abuse it has endured more than a faulty design.

The set could use more buttons on the front to change TV/Video or other settings.

Color display problem and Electronic Hum
This TV has the color display problem, there is an abnormal spot of red color on the lower left corner of the TV and an abnormal spot of green color on the lower right corner of the TV. I discovered it when I connect it to my dvd player, where dvd player itself has no problem. It supposes to show me a blue screen with dvd player's brand name on it, but it showed me these two additional abnormal color spot, which is so annoying. Especially when I watch movie with subtitle of white color on left right and all subtitle on the right side changed to light green color.

Also there is electronic hum when I turn on the TV, but it's not really a big deals.

It might be just this one has such problem, so I returned it as a defective unit.
