An important feature is the set's 3:2 pulldown detection, which renders DVD movies in their native 24-frame format. Digital video mastering introduces a common distortion when adjusting 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this distortion, removing the redundant information to display a film-frame-accurate picture.

Picture-format size adjustments include settings for wide (7 modes: auto wide, wide, panorama, zoom 1, zoom 2, normal, cinema 1, cinema 2) and settings for 4:3 aspect ratio viewing (5 modes: normal, zoom 1, zoom 2, cinema 1, cinema 2).
