Date: 2010-06-28 Excellent first projector! I wanted to get a bigger TV for our house, and was pushed away from 70" TVs because of their high price. I decided to try this project, for the price of a 50" TV. I'm using this project in a very small room (about 10" long) and my screen is 80"! I love this projector very much. Right now I'm projecting against my textured white wall, and you can't even tell. I can't wait until I get a screen to project against. Overall I would say that I am very happy with my purchase and I look forward using this projector for many years! Date: 2010-06-20 Great for my first This is my first jump into the Home Theater world and I believe this is a great entry level projector! The picture is good already played Call of Duty MW2 on both PS3 and XBox seem to go with out a hitch! in online play I didn't notice any lag. I have not seen any "rainbow effect" and have been looking (I'm very critical when it comes to things like that). Overall I'm happy I do notice rubbish CGI in movies a lot more; however I guess that's a good thing. I was looking between the Mitsu HC-3800 and this and I'm happy I saved the $[...] bucks maybe later I'll get a more high end (well above the 3800, and HD20) but that will be another day. Date: 2010-06-12 Wow! Wow! Here is a break through product. It can't be beat at twice the price. Date: 2010-05-31 Great Projector Excellent picture, low noise and easy setup. A great option for those who want a full HD projector with a more affordable price. Date: 2010-05-12 Amazing HD Projector!!! The Optoma HD 20 1080P projector is by far the best HD projector under $1000 and maybe even under $1500!!! Right out of the box, it is packaged excellently. Comes with easy to read manuals and a cd. Watching blu-rays on this thing is beautiful. The 1080P really shows on the smoothness of images and the colors are breathtaking and the blacks are deeper than what most people say they are as long as you adjust the settings. The settings right out of the box aren't great so definitely adjust them. HDTV looks amazing too. The remote lights up bright. Even with ambient light in the room, the image comes through greatly. I have it about 10 feet away from the wall and it is throwing a 90 inch image. Also, try the super wide mode... amazing! I HIGHLY recommend a 1.3 High Speed HDMI cable for this projector so you get the full color effect, which I got at [...] and you can get them in different colors. This is a great buy for anyone wanting a great home theater for sports, blu-rays, and video gaming. Thanks for another great product Optoma! * Price is subject to change. |
