Date: 2010-06-09 Limited Viera Cast support The DMP-BD70VK produces great quality video. VHS tapes look better than they've ever looked due to up-conversion by the player and DVD and Blu-ray rendering is equally excellent. My only complaint is that although the product advertises that it supports Panasonic's Viera Cast feature, it really only supports a limited version of Viera Cast because Panasonic has chosen not to allow its 2009 products to connect to the new Netflix streaming service that is available through products with real Viera Cast support. You can get videos online from Amazon's service, but if you already have a Netflix account and would like to take advantage of the features offered by Netflix, you are out-of-luck. Date: 2010-05-29 Great player The Panasonic DMP-BD70V Blu-Ray Player is awesome; easy set-up and easy play! It also has a VHS component for our old movies -- especially the Disney ones which are now in the vault. It's the perfect answer for us right now. Date: 2010-05-28 Panasonic Blu-ray Disc/VHS Player We bought this for my mother, she is 94 years young. She can use this by herself! The whole family is "technically challenged" (ie. from another generation) We hooked this wonderful product up & use it, not maybe the way it should be used? We Turned on the TV & the Player, put in a DVD and "Wow" we were watching the movie! Tried The VCR it worked nearly the same. The TV is an almost new Samsung thin screen HD 1080i. The pictures were pure joy! But, you get what is on the DVD or VCR, what this unit does is "remarkable." Thank you Date: 2010-05-23 It's good to be "Blue" This is a great unit at a great price. To have a Blue Ray player is a must, so when you upgrade (if you haven't done it already) to the next TV Technology, your good to go with all the great new media that's out there now. It's backward compatible which allows you to play all your other DVD's,CD's etc. and those of you that still have a plethora of VHS tapes, like I have, this unit plays them and up scales them so you'll see a great movie. This unit also lets you insert SD cards and it has a USB port and it can connect to to internet. This thing pretty much does it all. I recommend this product because of all it can do. * Price is subject to change. |
