Date: 2010-03-20 Making CD's I think this is a great product for the money. Not as hard to use as the original one I purchased. Good for copying old VHS tapes to CD's. And that was what I purchased it for. Date: 2010-03-13 Broke in 2 months.... Bought this at the end of Dec to transfer home videos. After about 2 months, the VCR side broke and wouldn't play any tapes (i.e. continued to eject the tape). It worked great prior to going down and was very easy to use. I called Toshiba and they gave me all of the info (and shipping labels) to send it back to get repaired. So that was a real plus and really easy. It's been 3 weeks now and nothing yet. So hoping it will only be another week or two before I get it back. We'll see.... Date: 2010-03-09 Piece of junk I bought this product in January and by February the VCR didn't work. When I wrote to Toshiba to find out what I could do they told me I could pay to send it to their factory and they would fix it and send it back. I suggested they send me a new player and then I would send them the piece of junk and I was told that isn't what they do, even though I had the player for only a month. With that kind of customer service, I won't buy another Toshiba of any kind. Date: 2010-03-08 VHS + DVD dubbing Works fine. Tape rewind is a bit slow. DVD finalling and formatting is a bit slow. Date: 2010-02-28 Enjoying Toshiba's Combo DVR620 DVD/VHS Recorder I am enjoying having the combination and not having 2 to 3 boxes. It is nice and sleek and the movies show well on screen. I had my doubts but, it was easy to connect to my screen tv and I did make sure that I ordered hdmi cables to ensure a successful connection. If you are thinking about a combo then this is a good choice. * Price is subject to change. |
