Is it possible to fall in love with your tv?
I have had my Sony now for 2 weeks. I have felt like I am walking on the air since the day I replaced my old tv. The sony is shiny and slender and the picture is incredible. It was easy to install and connect my new sony dvd player. Watching a movie on dvd is like being at the theater. The only negative is the sound is only ok, but if you spend this much on a tv you will most likely want to add surround sound.
The cost is great so quit looking you can not find it cheaper. My Best Buy had the sale price at $1599 plus tax.

This tv is so good that I would suggest that Sony offer a money back promise.

Outstanding Television
I researched LCD televisions for several months before finally deciding on the right one for my home. I decided on the Sony Bravia as they are one of the leaders in the industry and I loved the picture quality in the stores.

Once I got the television home, I unpacked and installed the base, very simple, four screws (you will need two people to complete this step to reduce the risk of dropping your beauty). The connections are simple, straightforward and easily accessible.

The picture is to die for. The motionflow technology is truly amazing watching sports, specifically college football (I got the TV just in time to watch Georgia Tech beat Georgia in Athens - GO JACKETS). Sorry, I digress.....

Overall, I am very satisfied with the set and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a superb mid level television.

Stunning clarity; beautiful picture
After purchasing a Sony Bravia 46XBR4 for our family room, I decided to upgrade our master bedroom TV to HD as well (once you go HD you never go back!) I thought the downgrade from the Bravia X series to this would be, well, just that - a downgrade. I was happily proved wrong! This TV features a stunningly crisp picture, vivid colors, no pixelation problems and unlike OP's, I get great clarity even w/o the HDMI cable. It is an absolutely gorgeous TV at a reasonable-for-HD price. Set up was easy, the tools menu could be a little easier to navigate, but none of that will matter once you've seen its true beauty. The integrated sound system is also really good. I have not missed the X-series Bravia features at all, to be honest. You cannot go wrong with this purchase.

I bought mine tax-free at a military base so I can't comment on delivery/price of this, but I will say that overall, Amazon's prices are the best and I have used the white-glove delivery for other items and loved it. I would not hesitate to Amazon it had I not had access to the base.
