User Submitted Sharp LC26SB24U 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV Reviews Date: 2008-12-23 Sharp LC26SB24U 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV I personally own three HDTVs including an earlier model of this Sharp 26" set, so I feel like I am in a good position to compare and comment on them. I bought this for my elderly mom. Among the various 26" sets on the market I like this version of the Sharp the best; even better (and less expensive) than the Sharp Aquos. Date: 2008-11-25 low volume of audio This TV had very low volume even for a regular size bedroom. The spec said it have dual 5 watts output but I know it's volume is lower than my mono 3 watts 13 inch TV. I exchanged first set thinking maybe a defect, but the second set is same low audio. I have above average hearing still had hard time to hear. I returned for other brand which I have no problem what so ever. I gave 2 stars only for nice picture but not wrose to buy!! Date: 2008-10-10 NO analog audio output (not even a headphone jack) This is a good all around HDTV in the 26" size-range that I had to have for my smallish entertainment cabinet. The DTV & HDTV picture quality (via Comcast Cable "out of the wall" no set-top box) is very good, particularly for the price. My only BIG disappointment was the audio output options; the ONLY one available is a Digital Audio coaxial output. Since I'm using this as my primary TV, connected to a Home Theater system for improved audio, this is a major CON for me. The only way I can output analog audio is to route everything thru a clunky Cable set-top box (which I didn't otherwise want or need) that DOES have an analog output. Then I discovered that changing from "out of the wall" cable to the basic cable set-top box automatically converts all previously available digital TV signals back to analog!! Since I'm not willing to add to my already sky-high monthly cable bill to upgrade to all-HDTV programing & set-top box, I'll be moving this TV to a bedroom (where the TV speakers will be fine) and getting another brand that has all the audio and video inputs AND outputs that I need. This a perfect example of not doing enough homework before a major purchase (which I really thought I had done). I verified all the new "hi-tech" connections, but the typical analog (left/right, red/white) audio output seemed so common that I didn't even think to check for it. I just assumed it would be there. Hope this helps someone else avoid an inconvenient and expensive oversight. Date: 2008-08-30 Great TV slow channel changing This is overall a great TV for the money. But when you change channels it takes about 3 seconds to tune in. This can be annoying if you like to channel surf Date: 2008-07-20 "a must have with color isuses" i bought this lcd tv about 5 days ago and i think if wonderful is easy to use and cheap and best off all is from a reliable brand so you dont have nothing to loose for me the only problem that i had with the tv is adjusting the colors bacause you have to set it manually and it tkae some time but after all of that is a great product.
