User Submitted 3 Port Smart HDMI Switch Reviews Date: 2010-09-03 Problem Solved. Scenario: 2 HDMI ports on the back of my Panasonic TV but 3 HDMI sources (Blu-Ray, Fios and Roku) Resolution: FiOS into HDMI port 1 of TV; Switch into TV HDMI port 2 (Blu-Ray and Roku) When the Blu-Ray player is on, the switch automatically selects Blu-Ray (1080p). When the Blu-Ray is off, it automatically reverts to Roku (1080i) as the primary input with no human intervention required. No remote or external power source is required. Excellent value. Date: 2010-09-03 Does exactly what I needed! This device doesn't work perfectly but it does exactly what I need it to do so I am very happy with this purchase. You can't beat the price. I needed this switcher for my samsung dvd player/surround sound system which only has 1 hdmi input so that I could switch from my cable to my PS3. Now whenever I turn my PS3 on, it automatically swithes from cable to my playstation. I turn the PS3 off, and it switches right back. Exactly what I needed. The only negative is that the automatic switching does not work exactly as it is supposed to. Whenever my PS3 is powered on, the device always switches to the PS3, no matter whether it is input 1, 2 or 3. Not a big deal since I really wouldn't need to have my PS3 running while watching tv. And if I needed it on for some reason, I have the remote that manaully lets you switch between devices. It is actually a lot easier for me to go from one device to the next now with my Samsung tv. I noticed I don't have to mess around with the source or input buttons on my remote anymore as much I used to which surprised me as I read some reviews that people were having problems with this switcher and their Samsung tvs. Overall, I am very happy with this product. Date: 2010-09-02 JUNK! DO NOT BUY! DOA... and this is my second one. These things are cheap and made in China. If you get one that works, it will always work from my experience, I bought one a long time ago and it worked great... but having no luck now! Stay away, the thing just doesn't work. It's not worth the money or your time! Date: 2010-08-31 HDMI The idea works great but doesn't come with a cable. None the less it provides you with the ablitity to connect more hdmi devices than just the one or two normal tvs offer. good value and good product Date: 2010-08-31 Great product Very easy to set up. Other reviews say they have problems using the remote, but I haven't run into this. The remote isn't necessary anyway because it will automatically switch to what ever source is on so unless you like constantly switching between a cable box and another source while both are on the remote doesn't do a lot. Clear picture, very easy to use, no problems so far. Great product. * Price is subject to change. |
