Date: 2008-07-13 Samsung 50" PN50A450 Great Value for the Money Very happy with my purchase. Good price, great delivery. I was worried about shipping a flat screen, but there was absolutely no problem. You just have to pull off the top of the box and plug in the TV to verify it works before the shipping company leaves. TV has everything I need. Great picture. Very pleased with it. Date: 2008-07-11 Great TV and Shipping First of all, CEVA shipping is excellent. Got the TV 3 days before estimated delivery date. Driver unpacked, plugged it up and tested it before leaving. The TV is great. Excellent HD pictures on Time Warner Cable. SD pictures are OK, but not as good as top of the line Toshiba 36" CRT. Image retention (IR)of TLC, ESPNHD, etc. logos will happen with 30 minutes or more of viewing even with 45 contrast and brightness and 3 on pixel brightness, pixel shift on max. But watching a full screen channel without logo for a couple of hours will remove it. NOTE the IR is very slight and only barely noticeable on light colored background and it seems that it may be less of a problem as time goes on. I've had the TV a week now and overall I don't believe a 1080p could be any better. Blueray on PS3 is awesome. HD channels are too. I don't have any problem with the quality of the audio. It sounds just fine to me. Date: 2008-07-08 Fantastic TV...TV watching will definitely increase Amazing picture with great color. My wife and I constantly marvel at how beautiful the picture is as we watch television. I like everything about it. The sound is not fantastic but it isn't supposed to be...exceeds my expectations in almost every way. The DirecTV HD signals look gorgeous. 720P is a great value for the price. I don't see how I could have a better picture. Date: 2008-07-08 pleased i was very pleased with my plasma tv when i connected my satelite hd receiver to it. the picture quality is unbelievable and unmatched. the shipment and delivery was superb, the tv arrived a few days earlier than stated, and the delivery company contacted me and asked if i would like to recieve my tv tomorrow which was a few days sooner than anticipated. the delivery guy did it all, deliver,unpacked,set-up,tested for flaws,removed unwanted packaging material. great job amazon. Date: 2008-07-02 At first pleased, but then.... I was at first very pleased with this set. Great picture, great delivery from Amazon. But then I began noticing 'burn-in' issues. The first I noticed was two vertical stripes, both about 5 inches in from the sides. Then I noticed that CNNHD was also burned in, even though I don't leave it on there for long periods of time. I also have the burn-in protection set, and I've run both the suggested fixes (all white and scrolling) with neither helping. Contacted Samsung and they agreed that it shouldn't be happening. Currently waiting for local repair shop set up by Samsung to attempt a fix. UPDATE... been waiting 3 weeks now... local repair shop says Samsung has backordered a circuit board needed to fix problem I'm having. I just contacted Amazon.com hoping they will just swap this for one that works. I kind of have my doubts on this since Samsung and their local rep have been so slow with any kind of repair. 2nd UPDATE... Well, Amazon denied me any help due to the fact I went to the manufacturer instead of them within Amazon's 30 day limit. I obviously screwed up thinking Samsung would solve this quicker than complaining to Amazon. 3rd UPDATE... I think I got a lemon... 4th UPDATE... Samsung agrees that I got a lemon and they are sending a replacement!!
