Great picture
Great picture and easy installation with entertainment system. Could not bet the special that was offered during purchase of HD TV. No better way to watch action movies than with Blu-ray. Recommend purchasing HDMI cables from Amazon and not store to complete the installation. The player is input into Yamaha receiver for great audio.

Blu-Ray 1500
This is nice for the price. Be sure you do not want Netflix downloads before buying this model.

First Blu Ray experience
Picked this up after getting a suggestion from a salesmen at Best Buy. Amazon offered this player for about $60+ cheaper than the big box store. No complaints beautiful picture and amazing sound for my meager system. I have it connected to a Samsung FPT5084 (also purchased fm Amazon), and it show a beautiful 1080p picture with no issues. Quick loading when dvd first placed in the player. I would buy it again, and there might be one in the future of one of my family members if they are good this year!

Great Blu-Player .. When It Works!
I received this player about two weeks ago, and hooked it up last week. Initially my thoughts were very positive. We watched the Dark Knight Blu-Ray disc, and it was incredible. That was the good news.

The bad news started with trying to play a video DVD-R I burned on my computer, the DVD-R would not play in the Samsung BD-P1500. Things got worse from there. The unit would not play regular DVD's. As of today, it won't play anything, even Blu-Ray discs. So back the unit goes.

Brand new and nonfunctional
My new BD-P1500 was nonfunctional: it couldn't be recognized by my new Samsung Series 5 550 plasma HDTV. It could be opened with the remote--but the disc drawer would not close, either with the remote or the button on the front. It would not load any disc. I can only assume that it was poor quality control at the factory.
So much for a "Blu-ray Christmas. . ." What a disappointment. Samsung products are usually much better than this.
