Date: 2009-02-18 Great Picture and terrific value I spoke with Panasonic and they explained this TV was a 2008 model and they were making way for the new 2009 soon to be released. So I was able to buy a plasma TV for the same price as a LCD. The picture quality is great (Verizon FIOS sure helps) and the set up is very easy. I was also impressed with Pilot, the shipping company. Two nice guys carried it into the family room, un-boxed it, set it up on the stand and tested for a blue screen. Very good service. Date: 2009-02-18 Great TV I was looking for the Pioneer which is currently the gold standard for plasma screens but could only accommodate a 46 inch screen (Pioneer does not make screens less than 50 inches now). For a lot less money, this TV is very close to the much more expensive Pioneer plasmas. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it, especially for the price (I got it for $1049 delivered). Furthermore, the included delivery was great as the delivery guy took the old tube TV (very heavy) out of the cabinet and installed the plasma in its place. So far, I really have nothing bad to say about this TV. Date: 2009-02-18 Absolutely Delighted! I chose this over a larger LCD and don't regret it one bit because the TV is amazing in all respects. There are no issues with image retention/burn-in despite leaving static images on screen for an hour or more during the first 100 hours. The motion scenes are absolutely fluid and there are no distortions in the image. Glare is not an issue either. 123 hours of watched content so far and I couldn't be happier about the TV! The installers from Pilot were very good as well! Date: 2009-02-18 Great Plasma!!! I just received my Panasonic Plasma a few days ago and I could not be happier. A fantasic TV for the price ($1099.00 for a 46"!). Set up was a breeze. The picture is amazing. I did a lot of research before purchasing and I'm so glad I decided to go with the Plasma. The blacks are deep and the colors are rich. I also purchased a blu-ray player and The Picture and sound blows me away. I plan on eventually buying a 5.1 surround sound system, but after hearing the great sound from the simulated surround sound on this TV I'm not in any hurry. If you're on the fence about buying an LCD or a Plasma go with this TV. You won't be disapointed.
