Adorama Camera Tried a Bait and Switch
Purchased Lcd TV from Adorama Camera and was sent a shipping conformation date. Then a couple days later, recieved a call from salesperson asking for a $175 dollars more for the model I purchased. They claimed Amazon made the error on the model price. I told them that this was not my problem and that I expected the unit that I bought to be shipped as per the conformation I recieved. They tried to offer me a lesser unit, but I refused. I tried to get trnsfered to the owner, Mr. Mendowitz, but kept getting transfered to diffrent sales people. I insisted on talking to the owner, and was told he would call me back. Next thing I know my order was cancelled and payment returned. So I filed a complaint with the BBB in New York on this firm. Be wary of the bait and switch these guys try to get you to either pay more or accept a lesser unit.

Great product
Great product - I have a 46" Samsung and love the TV. This one is also just as high quality. However, I should have skipped the 1080p on a 32" and stuck with the 720. With this screen size you really can't tell the difference.

First HDTV for us
We finally made the plunge and purchased this TV. We use it to watch TV and movies and to screen digital photos. We don't watch sports or use it for games. The picture quality is fantastic. We also purchased an upscaling DVD player (Philips DVP 5992/37, Costco) to go with this TV until Blueray players drop in price. The combo works very well together.

Pros:
-Excellent picture quality
-USB port for viewing (and very limited editing) of photos from a digital camera. You can quickly create an onscreen slide show.
-Automatically communicates with DVD player via HDMI connection (no hunting for the video channel)
-Well written instruction manual
-Flexibility (energy saving modes, ability to change image size, variety of audio modes)
-Easy to read and understand remote

Cons:
-Lateral rotation of TV on stand is limited (maybe 45 degrees). Makes it hard to access the back of the TV if inside cabinetry.
-Does not automatically display all photos in upright position, and you have to go three levels into a menu to do this.

I use this TV to quickly screen photos from my digital camera by loading them through the USB port. I can delete the duds using the TV remote, which is a big timesaver for me (and easier on my eyes than using my computer monitor). The digital photo quality is just stunning when viewed on this TV.

I purchased an HDMI cable through Amazon for connecting the DVD player to the TV, and saved a bundle by comparison to the local vendors.

Great HDTV
The LN-32A550 SAMSUNG is fantastic. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't tell the difference between a 720p and a 1080p in this size TV because you can.

The HDTV programs are great. Digital programs are very good and SD programs are above average depending on the channel (can't wait for February).

Blacks are deep, whites are bright and flesh tones are natural.

There are more setting in the menue for picture and sound than any other HDTV I looked at.

3 HDMI ports and all the other ports you could want in a TV this size including a USB port for showing pictures and firmware updates.

The sound is only average but I have it in my bedroom. If you are going to put it in a family room or living room you might consider adding speakers.

Swival stand and backlit remote are great features.

The simple piano black finish and lack of chrome make this TV look sleek and modern.

A Brief Review
This is a nice tv..... so far as i can tell there is only one thing that's been bothering me about it. I am using this television as a PC monitor and television. If you want to use it as the PC monitory you have to be sure that the samsung 550 is ON FIRST AND THE HDMI/DVI SOURCE IS SELECTED (in the menue) BEFORE......BEFORE...you can turn on the computer .... otherwise, the tv won't recognize the computer and you have to hit the reset button on the pc and start over. It's kind of a drag. Now you may be saying that maybe it's my PC.... and maybe you'd be correct. I won't know untill i kick 800 bucks for a new pc system which is going to be a while. Ok..... so i run the sound out from the sound card and into the back of the tv using a 3mm cable...(i think it's 3mm, but whatever), and then run RCA cables from the "audio OUT LR" on the tv and into the back of my home stereo. So i get pretty good audio from my PC comming out my home theater. Surprising, there is no noticable hiss! I kicked out a very very cheap 40 bucks for twenty feet (or so) of think hdmi/dvi cable.....on amazon, the cable is HALF what a regular retail shop would charge!! I also got a six footer for a mesialy 10 bucks or so!! To rap it up.... i got the pc / tv / home stereo integrated pretty well. My next home stereo will have optical inputs so later i'll be able to run those out the tv instead of the RCA cables. Here's an afterthought....this puppy runs hot! In the winter it's going to double as my heating. Who knows, perhaps my gas bill will be lower this winter. for now, I just turn up the energy saver function to high. It's a cool option. I learned how to use the menue in a very short time, it's very simple to use. The remote light up when you push the "light" button.... that's kind of cool too....ok bla bla bla ...i'm rambling.......DRUM ROLE PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GIVE THIS PRODUCT A.....................................................................................................8.5 !!!

ps the resolution on this pup is bitchen !!
