Date: 2008-12-12 Great TV! Today is the second day of first HD TV in my home. So far so great. I purchased it through Amazon, not other Amazon merchants, (Price and return policy are reasonable to me when amazon sells) One delivery man unpacked the box and he set up the TV. I tried to check whether TV was okay but He told me to operate TV after 30~60 minutes because of big temperature change from truck to my home. I waited a few hours and turned it on. TV sound is as good as my family enjoy the TV. Date: 2008-12-11 not impressed I bought this for my husband because, apparently, one must own a 1080p flat screen TV. I read a lot of reviews here and on CNET and this one seemed perfect for the quality I wanted and in the price range I budgeted. My impression of this TV - eh. I prefer my old trusty Sony Trinitron. Although there is a difference in image quality, I think it is slight and not worth all the extra bucks. On this Samsung, some images are stretched out if you use the "auto" setting and people, especially, seem a little off. I have been fidgeting with the settings and the best I can get it is the letterbox view which shrinks my screen to around 22". Major irritant is that the instruction manual is NOT for the remote included with the set. ARRGHH! This Samsung is 27" across, which is great for a bedroom or small room. The colors were way off straight out of the box but this was easily fixed once I figured out how to access the settings. I had to tinker a bit to get it the way I liked but it was worth it. There are a lot of positives: (1) plenty of outsources; (2) built-in HDTV tuner; (3) great sleek look; and (4) easy to swivel for better access from any spot in the room. Things that annoyed me: (1) set takes a good five seconds to access a channel and although this sounds minor, the time drags when you want to catch a moment in football or basketball and have to sit there waiting; (2) remote is very bulky (measures 10" long) and not comfortable to hold; (3) there is a light blue light on the just below the middle of the screen (on the tv stand) that lights up whenever the TV is on which can be distracting when watchig a movie with the room lights off; and (4) whenever we use an item connected by HDMI cables (like taking a dvd out) it automatically turns the TV on and gets it ready. Measured against other HD sets, I like this one for the price range. I'm thinking of trying a larger Mitsubishi next. Date: 2008-12-06 Get TV for an even better price This TV looks great. Sleek and the colors are better than any other 32in TV I have seen. Don't pay over 800 dollars for any other 32in 1080p TV out there because this one is the best you will find and it isn't even 800. Also, go for the 1080p, you can tell the difference and won't be kicking yourself in a couple of years when there is 1080p cable. Date: 2008-11-30 Makes a Great Computer Monitor Bought this for use as a Computer Monitor. Great display at 1920x1080p resolution when connected HDMI/DVI. With a press of the remote, it also doubles as an HDTV when I want to catch the news, etc. Had it for about a month and no complaints. Got 2 other Samsung LCD HDTVs and they both are flawless, so far. One thing to be aware of; if you connect it HDMI/DVI, be sure to use HDMI 2. This port is specially designed to configure itself for computer use. Date: 2008-11-12 Simply awesome I bought this TV based on price and reputation and haven't been disappointed. I already have a 27 inch 720p HDTV and the difference is stunning. The picture is awesome! I also found it incredibly easy to set up. The big ergonomic remote is highly intuitive and easy to find, yet looks very techie. If I have a complaint it the internal speakers that don't push out enough sound, especially when viewing DVD's
