Perfect PS3 Monitor
I chose this unit after months of research seeking the perfect pair for my PS3. I considered Vizio, Sharp, and Sony, but decided in the end that the Samsung had the most features and best connectivity. I am a college student so a larger screen size would not be useful for my needs. I use it in the apartment and my bedroom at home.

This tv is only listed as 1080i but the ps3 supposedly runs in 1080p mode when connected and Blu-Rays play in 1280x1080 @ 24Hz which is the default 1080p setting. This was a fantastic surprise. They say you cannot tell the difference between 1080p and 1080i but next to my roommates Sharp which is only at 1080i, the difference is noticeable. Colors are wonderful. HD really pops. Standard definition looks much better than my roommates Sharp.

The digital tuner also decodes the digital channels on my cable so I can get local channels in HD at no extra cost.

Overall this was one of the best purchases I made. Plenty of connectivity options will leave it useful for years to come.

Great TV
We bought this for our main TV. We do not watch a lot of TV and are not interested in having our TV as a focal point in the room. Also, we wanted a set that would double as our computer monitor. This TV is great for what we wanted.

You'll need additional speakers to improve the sound, but I think that's true for any TV.

Also, it does not come with a universal remote.

Nice for what it is
I just ordered alot of items from Amazon recently, so all my reviews will start the same, just with different sellers of course:

Amazon & 6av gets 5 stars for extremely fast regular/standard shipping!! Was supposed to come June 30 - July 3; I ordered this on the June 24th, it arrived June 26th!!

Its 720p, 8ms response. What more do u want from it? It take a few seconds
when changing sources. Im not in a hurry so thats not a problem for me. Connected my Comcast cable HD DVR, PS3 to it with no problems. I experimented with composite and HDMI connections. (all I had on me) Anyone who reviews a hdtv, please use component or hdmi; then rate the PQ n audio. Thanks. If u rate it based on connecting the cable-in rf directly to the tv, keep that in mind when reviewing it and rate accordingly to the connection u use.

Speakers is good. I missed my 46" 46A550 delivery cuz I had the 26" turned up. Easy as pie to install base and program TV. Light, u dont need help moving this or installing base. Using HDMI n cable box, it doesnt take much to config it for the best picture. But, u can tell the difference when looking at HD channels vs standard. Its not so bad but u can still tell. We need more HD channels. After I search for better settings I will come back and edit my review.

Poor Sound
I gave this TV 4 stars because of the poor sound. I had a pair of AC/DC powered speakers from my old CD walkman and plugged them in the headphone jack, made a few adjustments hooked the TV up via HDMI to cable box, and I am good to go. You can also use powered PC speakers (with a subwoofer to boot) that you can buy real cheap providing it recieves headphone or some other congruent output/input method. The Picture is very good and compares to my 40 inch 1080P Samsung LNT4071F. I read 1 review where it has a reception in between 720P and 1080P. This may be so but when you hook up a Bluray will the TV recieve that inbetween resoloution or would you have to drop down and set the Bluray to 720. I bought this TV knowing the sound was going to be poor. But samsung in my view has the highest contrast ratio and is the best out there when it comes to televisions. I am yet to find weather or not the 60 Htz drop down From my other Samsung, which is 120 Htz will be noticable. I'm hoping not concidering it's smaller screen size. With my 120 htz I see no motion blurr or fast motion trails at all but that is a bigger unit with more bang. I think The LN22A650 May be 120 htz But doesn't have DNLe which is a contrast booster. To apprietiate what you bought, anyone with this tv should use the DNLe option and dynamic range.I am very happy with the picture Quality but the sound truly stinks.

Nice for a Bedroom
I just purchased my 26" LCD on 6/19/08. Setup was real easy . The first day I hadn't read all the instructions so I was dissappointed with the picture, and the sound quality is still fair at best . This is my first HDTV and the second day , after reading the instructions I got a great pic and hooked the sound to a Yamaha 100W/per channel Dolby 5.1 I had hangin' 'round . In my master bedroom this little puppy blows my old, tube hi-end Sony and Proscan away in picture quality. The others are hooked up to higher -end surround systems so their sound is great .
I do suggest that one turns down the dynamic range, and only use it sparingly as this will use a lot of energy and burn out your TV quicker and other settings have real pic quality in a darker room .
Lastly, the connection options are plentiful with 3 HDMI's and many others . Get an upconverter DVD with this TV and you'll be very happy for a long time . Those are inexpensive . Also don't let them sell you a $89 HDMI's per/1 ! I bought 2 at Target for $60 saving $120 ! No difference in pic quality .
I'm enjoying playing with all the pic options this TV has to offer. Next year I'm upgrading to a large 1080p .Don't know if it'll be a Samsung on a big screen but so far I'm impressed !
The only reason my review doesn't get a 5 is due to speaker/sound quality.Which most people will hook up to external speakers anyway .
Hope this review helps .
