Date: 2008-12-20 Bought for its size; delighted with its performance. I purchased this TV because it fit into an existing armoire in a guest bedroom; but the picture is so sharp, bright and clear that I almost want to put it to use elsewhere. It's 720p (as opposed to 1080)but I can't imagine it's being much better, and even though it cost a bit more than other sets of similar size, it was worth every cent of the premium. Delivery was fast, set-up was easy, packaging was great. Date: 2008-12-19 PC to HDMI not Didn't check close enough when buying this TV. Although they make claims about hooking up your PC to this unit - it only accepts HDMI. There are very few PCs on the market with HDMI out and the tv doesn't accept VGA. A converter for this purpose would cost you in the neighborhood of $250. As a TV though it otherwise does as advertized. Date: 2008-12-18 Great TV for the bedroom!! Did quite a bit of research on LCD TVs before I decided to buy the LN26A450. I wanted a TV for the bedroom, a decent size that would be small enough to not be the center piece of the room. Samsung makes a great TV. My brother has the 52" LCD and a 61" DLP and they are excellent TVs. I love this TV. I bought a pair of cheap antennas and they pick up the local HD channels and it looks amazing on the TV. Some people complain about the sound not being loud enough. I think this TV has great sound. I never turn it up past 25%. People that say its not loud must live near a railroad track or a busy highway and have very thin walls. A couple things you should know when you buy the TV. If you buy form Amazon make sure you you check the box that says "This is a Gift". That way they will ship the TV and original box in a basic cardboard box and then ship it. If you don't mark it as a gift then they will ship it in the original Samsung box and everyone will know that its a TV. Also when you first get the TV make sure you install the stand with the 4 screws that are included. It doesn't tell you about the stand in any of the manuals. Also make sure to buy at least a basic surge protector, you don't want you TV to get ruined just because you didn't want to spend 15 bucks. The color is bright and the overall quality is great . Very pleased with this set. I would definitely reccommend it to anyone looking for this size. Date: 2008-12-16 Samsung LN26A450 great color, sound is adequate because speakers are under the bottom. It has all the connections you would need. Overall very good quality.
