Couldn't be Happier
Ordered on a Friday-Delivered to my home Wednesday. Have absolutely no complaints. Picture is fabulous without making adjustments but I'll probably tweek soon. Had for a month now and has performed flawlessly. I'm not a techie so I'll leave all that stuff to others but I did my research before I bought and am very satisfied. To get this size screen for the price can't be beat. Highly recommend.

Stunning picture
I replaced a 300 pound rear projection HD monitor with this 70 pound 61 inch DLP TV. Wow has technology advanced in the last seven years! The TV is bulky to handle but very light and easy to position. The picture beats any LCD Plasma or othr rear projection TV I've seen. Colors are vivid, blacks are very black and the picture is crisp. If you don't have to mount your large screen TV on the wall, then this is the large screen for you. I is very thin and the front is all picture. Virtually no bezel around the picture. I don't know how Samsung did it, but the produced a real winner. Now we will see if the LCD lamp lasts as long as advertised.

A great Buy
Bought as an open box from Amazon. Appears brand new. Replaces 5yr old Samsung DLP. Much brighter, quieter (no fan) and instant start. See cnet review for setup. Beware, it does not have same viewing angle as LCD. Therefore, really needs to be viewed head on.

I love this TV!!
I, like many others who bought this particular TV, did lots of research, read many reviews and thought about it quite a bit, then bought it. Never have I been so pleased with the product as with this TV.

Two very pleasant people showed up at my home, 4 days after I ordered it on Amazon, and unboxed and set it on my stand, while I watched!

They waited until I had turned it on and watched something before asking if there were any questions, and then left.

I also bought a PS3 and a couple of blu-ray movies (Planet Earth was one of them) so I could see what 1080p really looked like. I have a small TV/game room so I sit about 8 feet from the set. What a view! I still can't get over the size of it, and I've had it for a couple of months now.

The picture is great and 1080p does look nice. The Planet Earth series is spectacular (if you can get past the misguided politics that's laced throughout). I really didn't think it would look THAT good ... but is does!

I'm particularly fond of the PS3 game "Grid". It's only 720p but it looks great, as does the title "Dirt", both by CodeMasters. I can only imagine what these games would look like in 1080p!

If you've been tossing around the idea of "moving on up", I don't think you could do better than this one. But also get a PS3 (I don't get anything from Sony for saying that) so you can experience the stunning visuals available in 1080p blu-ray and play some great driving games.

Awesome TV, Lousy Speakers
Bought the HL61A750 from Ultimate Electronics. Went to the store and the salesman matched the price on Amazon, so we were good to go for delivery the next day. I got home and checked the receipt and realized he had substituted an HL61A650 (with bulb, not LED, and priced hundreds lower) for the HL61A750 on the receipt. I called and spoke to the manager who had "approved" the deal and she indicated that, gosh, it's only one digit off and, shucks, it was probably just a typo. She replaced the 650 with the 750 I had paid for. Buyer beware at Ultimate Electronics.

The TV itself is awesome. Incredible colors, outstanding HDTV picture, and superior image. Tons of inputs and outputs. The 61" screen is perfect in our den, where we sit about 9 feet from the screen. HD football on the big 61" screen is incredible. During the olympics, we could actually see the stitching on the NBC patch on Bob Costas' sport coat.

The speakers leave a lot to be desired. They are kind of tinny, and frankly, on a $2,000 TV, they should be better. I hooked the system up to a surround sound system, so the cheesy speakers are really not a big deal. If you don't have a sound system and are counting on good sound from this TV, look elsewhere. Otherwise, it's a great TV.
