Date: 2008-08-28 Great picture!!! The best value for a 60" screen or bigger. The picture in HD is just as good as the big plasma or LCD flat screens out there. I Save thousands of dollar and i am amazed at the picture quality. Date: 2008-08-27 Flawless Best Option for Money I will keep this simple. The Tv itself is awesome. The size and specs make this a perfect choice for those who need over 55 inches and dont want to spend money on an lcd or plasma. I own a panasonsic plamsma at 1080p but this unit blows it away. While the other reviewers mentioned the greatness of no bulb replacement; I will touch on the 3-D setup when hooking a pc up to it. Google Earth looks holographic images just pop out at you and 3-D dvd look the same. Dont be fooled by the gimmick of turning regular dvd into 3-d (jumping out) or mpg the technology only allows for field depth. Great 3-D TV I love gaming on it as well. To me the colors and movies look 10x better than any other technology. Date: 2008-08-24 Unreal Picture! Ditto the others who said it looked far better at home than in the store. The picture off the HD channels from Comcast is out of sight compared to various flat screens - very life-like and almost jumping off the screen. Flesh tones are far more natural than I've seen on LCDs and plasmas, rapid movement is quite crisp. Non-HD channels are a mixed bag with some looking quite good. I think it may be that channels like Disney Channel (my daughter, not me!) are digital all the way through while the local network affiliate channels pumpbed through Comcast may be of much poorer quality. Date: 2008-08-23 Samsung Opinion I am more than happy with this product. The size, and technology for the price is a great value. It has a stunning picture and the tv itself is very attractive. I am also pleased that there is no need to replace bulbs. I would recommend this television to anyone. Date: 2008-08-17 So Happy with this tv I never write reviews - But, I am so so happy with the tv, and thought I would take a moment to express why. My in-laws have a Sony 50", a couple of other friends have 50" and 60" rear projections as well. They are nice, but the time it takes for their televisions to turn on is night and day with our Samsung. The LED pops up right away, the color is insane, such a wonderful screen. Plus the viewing angle! We can easily sit on sides of the TV and see everything very well, there is a slight change in color. But, its still very good. We purchased this tv last fall, 07. No regrets. My wife and I are always in awe when we watch tv. One feature I like is: The tv will sense the equipment plugged into it. I have three HDMI devices plugged into the TV. Blue-Ray, Apple TV, and Comcast digital cable. Occasionally I'll plug my laptop into it using the RGB port. The TV will make only the items that are on or plugged in available. So, when I switch devices using the "source" button on the remote, it will only go to the item that is on. Nice. The only thing is, it doesn't have Picture In Picture. That would be nice, not needed, but with the Olympics on it would be nice. However, I didn't miss that feature until I was trying to catch Michel Phelps last swim. -------------------------Update The review that I wrote is about the version tv just before this one. It is almost identical based on the specs. The only difference is... This updated version has Picture in Picture. My version appears to be discontinued, this is the replacement.
