Date: 2008-10-16 Excellent CSR support form Amazon and Ceva I am not an expert on TVs. I did research on Consumer Reports and the Amazon website and other websites. This TV got very high marks. I also visited other forums to get the proper settings to adjust the audio and video. I think this TV provides excellent performance, but I do have enough experience in televisons to comment on technical issues. We are quite happy with the picture. I can say that buying this TV was much more pleasant than dealing with Best Buy or Circuit City. At BB and CC there is so much pressure to buy the extended warranty, overpriced cables, set-up charges etc. The salespeople at BB and CC might not be on commission, but I know for a FACT that those salespeople who sell the most extended warranties get more hours and more "rewards". The people at Amazon were easy to deal with and knowledgeable. Delivery was very smooth and hassle free. Very good communication with Ceva, the delivery people. They were prompt, neat, and a pleasure to work with. I was initially hesitant to buy a large TV from Amazon, but now I will never hesitate to buy a similar product from Amazon. The price from Amazon was $400 less than the local CC store, and $200 less than the CC website ( which the local CC was reluctantly willing to match). No sales tax and no delivery fee saved me another $200. So I saved $400 right off the top. Combined with the zero pressure and easy delivery and buying from Amazon made a ton of sense. Date: 2008-10-14 Great 52 Inch HD TV I decided to go with the 550 series because of its value. It provides a fantastic picture and looks great in any room. I didn't feel the 650 series was worth the premium after comparing them side by side. Also, don't expect much functionality from the USB port in either the 550, 650, or 750 series, as the TV is very picky about what it will play. Something worth noting, the over-the-air HD tuner is fantastic in this unit and makes for a great viewing experience. It picks up stations noticeably better than my other HD TV did in the same position. Date: 2008-10-13 Awesome! Great service, awesome tv for an awesome price. I own a 32inch version and i was so pleased i replaced my 53inch panasonic crt in my living room. I highly recommend this tv for movies ,games and sports. Baseball looks great in HD ,If your very picky football in HD might have a very little blur because of the speed the 120hz helps. You really dont notice it unless you really look for it. If you really picky and dont mind the weight, heat and power usage, look at some plasmas from samsung and panasonic . But if you want a LCD this the best one out their and i am very happy and i am sure you will love it to. Amazon white glove delivery is great is great I have used it before and its great. Best price i could find in town by 400 dollars and no tax or shipping. I hope this helped. Date: 2008-10-10 Samsung 52a550. . .Great TV! Great Price! First, I am not an audio/video expert. So, I did a lot of shopping before I finally pulled the trigger on this one. I went to various retail centers (Best Buy, Fry's, etc.) to scout pricing and viewing performance of the different models. Samsung LCD HDTVs have the best user ratings. The 52a550 is a great buy. It works great in my room, which is a kind of bright. The menu, interface and remote are easy to learn. My NFL Sundays are INCREDIBLE, now I wonder why I waited so long!
