Date: 2010-06-13 Cheap and Really Does Work! Can't ask for more! I got this for less than a few bucks here on Amazon one day just thinking that if it didn't work I'd buy a "better" one. But little adapter has seemed to work everywhere I've taken it in the world. I've used this in London, Hong Kong, Barcelona, and Beijing (with dual voltage appliances, of course) and it performs beautifully everytime. Also it's faily small for an all in one adapter, so thats a plus that I don't have to carry multiple adapters when I'm visiting multiple countries in one trip. Be sure to put the prong lock on whenever you're plugging it in and then it will stay in the socket better. Date: 2010-06-10 It works Just used it in Italy for a week and it works great. It's nice to have the country labels on the device itself. Good buy. Date: 2010-06-05 A bit of dishonesty Be careful! This item is exactly same as 'Universal World Wide Travel Charger Adapter Plug, White', which is bundled in 'Frequently Bought Together'. The pictures just show each side of this product. But the title of the products are different. And prices are different. I don't know who created 'Frequently Bought Together' (either Amazon or the sellers). But I don't like this way of business... Date: 2010-06-02 If I could give it a zero, I would We bought 4 of these for a trip to the UK/Ireland and unhappily can confirm that they wouldn't work in the hotels in Dublin, Edinburgh, or London. Apparently the information from the electrician in the other review was correct; without the metal third prong the adapter won't work. Don't buy these unless you are prepared to toss them out and buy new ones when you get to the UK/Ireland. That's what happened to us... Date: 2010-05-21 A must for world travelers. Works as advertised.**** For "domestic flyers this has one other unique benefit. Some airports have changed their 110 plug connections so you must use the often unavailable computer stations. This has an AU connection, which is what most switched to::)). That alone makes this worth it asking price. * Price is subject to change. |
