Date: 2010-04-04 EXCELLENT MOUNT FOR LARGE TV'S. Very sturdy! A lot of other mounts that I have saw only mounted to one 'wall stud'. This one is 'wide enough' that it will secure to at least 2 wall studs. The flex-joints are pretty stiff, but very sturdy. I have a 47", 65 lb TV mounted on it and there is practically no 'sag' or deflection. THIS IS A BIG BULKY ITEM! It will extend way out from the wall. The only suggestions that I would make: (1) Better instruction sheet. Although it is pretty self explanatory, it is difficult to follow the instructions without making small mishaps. And it sure helpd to have wonderful wife to help! She and I installed it in about 1.5 hours from opening the box to connecting the tv. (2) Level the bracket that the TV attatches to, NOT the bracket that bolts to the wall. If I leveled the wall-bracket the TV would have been a bit crooked. Maybe this would help those who had the 'unlevel' issues mentioned by other reviewers. Or maybe their TV's were heavier than mine. (3) Again, the instructions are vague, but the bracket that bolts to the tv has probably 1 foot of vertical adjustment via a bunch of 'slots and holes'. I attatched my 47" LCD as 'low' on the bolt on bracket as possible. This happened to position the TV 'center of gravity' very nicely and so my TV will 'tilt' very easily and hardly even needs the plastic knobs to be tightened at all. I think that if I would have put the TV as 'high' in the bracket as it would go, that the TV 'center of gravity' would have shifted a lot and that it may have been very difficult to lock the 'tilting' mechanism. Just luck of the draw on my part (I wanted to drop the TV to a certain height, and did a lot of measuring). (4) Make sure that you have someone to help mount this to the wall. It is heavy! I held it up and my wife drove a #16 nail part way into the stud. The 'nail head' helped hold the bracket steady. I bought this almost solely because of the recommendation of other reviewers, and so a HUGE THANKS! Date: 2010-03-28 Worth the money! I bought this wall mount to support the new flat screen I got for Christmas, over my fireplace. My nephew came to install it for me. He had it up in no time at all. It holds my 47" flat screen with no problems. It is a little hard to pull out but otherwise it is great, with full motion I can watch from anywhere in my living/dining rooms. Definitely worth the money! I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to hang a big flat screen/LCD TV. Date: 2010-03-25 Good Product Worked really well mounting our 42" tv. Seems very strong and it was a fast assemble. Date: 2010-03-09 flat panel wall mount At 40lbs you will need the assistance of another person to help hold it in place, but after finding the center of each stud we had it on the wall in less than 10 minutes. I have mounted a 50 in plasma weighing around 80lbs and it is very solid and moves freely in any direction. You cant beat it for 40 bucks. Date: 2010-03-09 tv wall mount The item was nice but in the description it states that the mount comes with a built level which we couldn't find anywhere and even when it was level once you put a bigger tv on it it sit crooked or unlevel .
