Even though its sold for so cheap... its so worth it, sound and construction is great. I would recommend purchasing this item... if I had to I would purchase another. Date: 2010-03-16 Works as it should Nothing fancy. The digital optical signal either arrives or it doesn't and, with this cable, it does. It locks into place in our Samsung BD player and on our Sony ES receiver. Date: 2010-03-01 Just as good as the more expensive Opitcal Cables This cable works just as well as the more expensive Optical Cables found at your local big box stores, but what make this better is that it is nearly 75% cheaper then those found at said big box stores. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and shop online for your cabling needs. This is plugged in to my surround sound system and my ps3, other than the lack of fancy packaging I didn't notice a different between this cable and the ones found in the fancy packaging.
