Date: 2007-10-03 Doesn't Deliver I purchased this unit because it was advertised as providing a seemless transition between PC and mobile. Sadly, the microphone sound quality is entirely hopeless for Dragon NaturallySpeaking, so I'm left with a bluetooth headset for my mobile phone only. Battery standby life seems to be much shorter than advertised also, despite being fully charged at the outset. This is not a replacement for the Plantronics C60, which performs adequately with Dragon. Does not fit quite well to small ears Date: 2007-07-22 The best Bluetooth Headset for Convertibles ! This is the best and the ONLY bluetooth headset for driving in a convertible that I found. I've spent several hundred dollars in the past 3 years and almost gave up, when I saw the 510-USB rated as the "Laptop Ultimate Choice for 2007". I tried Motorola, Zen, Cardo, Jabra, etc, etc...but they were all useless, despite the claims of the manufacturers...even when Cardo (latest purchase before 910) is a manufacturer of headsets for motor bikes. When driving in a heavy LA traffic with a lot of traffic/road noise, honkings, combined w/ wind noise (even w/ the wind-guard of a MB up), if I wanted to talk business or talk w/o raising my voice, it was way too much background or wind noise for the other party. There are many great noise-cancelation headsets out there, but very few that ALSO provide good wind cancelation. Plantronics 910, however, is amazing. I was talking w/ the top down in a heavy street traffic and I can hear all the noise around me, but the caller on the other end told me that she thought I was talking from a quiet room. I found THAT almost hard to believe, but, after the 2nd person told me the same thing, I was a convert. Unbelievable !!! Yeah, it's a bit big...and not the smallest to put it in your pocket (when I have to valet park)...or just have it on your ear, when you're doing a quick run into a store...and the charger that comes w/ it only charges from the computer USB (which has its advantages...but wish I can also get an inexpensive AC charger so that I don't have to use up one of my only 2 USB outlets)...and the ear piece that goes into your ear (even though, they have small, medium and large) never feels as snug or secure as a Jabra, BUT Plantronics 910 does what it's supposed to better than any other...that of being a GREAT bluetooth headset with an unbelievably great noise cancelation and superior wind resistance technology, leaving me to be able to communicate w/ others w/o concerns for my surroundings. It's the only one I found that is great for windy outdoors. Buying it on Amazon was the least expensive and easiest..... Now, Plantronics, if you can only make it smaller.....
