BIG Bang For The Buck
Have had the 73732 for about six months now. It is a HUGE beautiful picture in hd. Factory settings were actually TOO bright for my m-inlaw. I had to turn down the brightness for her!

As another reviewer said, make sure you will be sitting AT LEAST 10 feet back. 14 ft would be best. If you're only going to be 6 or 8 ft back from the screen, do NOT buy this tv. It's that big!

I'm not real picky about sound, so the built in speakers seem fine to me.

One real problem that comes up occasionally is that the tv shuts off after ten or fifteen minutes of viewing. We thought it was overheating, or something, because it would shut off again after just a few minutes. Over and over. Customer service said to depress the hidden reset button. They said the tv is shutting down due to electrical surge or other unusual signals.

Now that is is turning off continuously after one minute, they are sending me a warranty lamp. But I'm worried about how many times I'll have to replace the lamp after warranty is expired. From other posts on the internet, I see this a frequent problem with the Mitsubishi big screens.

We are LOVING this television!
We were really not using the living room of our house much. I was in my office where I have a 32 inch LCD, my wife in the kitchen with a 25 LCD, and never the two shall meet...

TWEETER went out of business in our area and had everything on sale CHEAP, and there was the Mitsubishi 73' sitting there staring at us.

We now are in the living room together EVERY NIGHT. We are either watching DVDs or HD TV. Every time we watch I turn to my wife and say, "This is incredible!" We are watching favorite DVDs that I never got to see on a big screen and it is like going to the original showing at a movie theatre. We have watched John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, Harry Potter and Jack Sparrow, and they ALL look fantastic!

I am looking at a Blu Ray player now, but will wait to see what else comes out in the next couple of months.

So far, we are blown away by this TV and we sit close to it, about eight to ten feet and it is GREAT!

You MUST get the stand that comes with it. It just looks super. You will also want a better sound system to hook up to it.

I am adding this later: I purchased the Sony PS3 game machine because it also has a fantastic Blu Ray DVD player included.. the picture is outstanding. I am amazed. I review the PS3 80 gig on its page.

Great TV
Had this TV for about 30 days now and remain impressed with the quality. One word of warning... I had a credenza I planned on using that had close dimensions to the matching stand that is $449.00. After recieving the TV it was clear you really do need the matching stand to fit the TV properly. I ordered it locally from a Mitsubishi dealer for $295.00. Also when I bought this TV it was $2799.00... it has gone up and down from $2799.00 to $3499.00 over the past month. I have no idea why it keeps going up and down. Again, the picture is great and setup is very easy. I have it hooked to HD Cable and a PS3 ... the Blu Ray PS3 movie screen play is stunning. I dont think you can go wrong with this TV.

Lamp went out on 4th day of ownership; terrible warranty
On the fourth day of owning this TV, the lamp went out completely!! After talking to consumer relations, we found out that even though they will send you a replacement lamp, you (the customer) is responsible for replacing the lamp; they do not send out their service people to do it even while under warranty. Furthermore, after calling in to open a case, they give you a confirmation number and you have to write this number on your receipt (proof of purchase) and fax it to them before they will send the part out. What a HASSLE, not to mention the poor quality of the TV's lamp to go out on the FOURTH day of ownership.

Unbelievable picture and quality - 73" Mitsubishi
Honestly, the most amazing picture I've ever seen. It's obviously a little on the "heavy side", but once you get it set up it's a fantastic TV. The quality is fantastic. Would highly recommend this product.
