Date: 2010-08-19 Great option I bought this ac charger because we don't always rent a car when we travel, therefore we aren't able to charge the Garmin's battery. It is a great option when you're walking around in towns you aren't familiar with in Europe since the charger comes with international adaptors. The ac charger is helpful in assuring the Garmin is ready to go when you are, instead of waiting for it to charge while you're driving. Date: 2010-08-15 Works as promised but... This is a useful product that does what it is supposed to do but one needs to be careful when pulling wire out of electric receptacle. There are several plugs (for various types of electric receptacles). The different plugs may pull of the charger's electric wire when one attempts to remove from electric receptacle. When this happens you are left with a "live" plug that needs to be removed from the receptacle without touching the bare contacts. Date: 2010-08-08 handy Great item - unfortunately, the Garmin didn't come with this, so had to be purchased as an add-on. Could not be without it - Date: 2010-08-01 Good product Don't know why the GPS doesn't come with a wall charger, that is simply wrong, but, this was good price and came just in time for a trip. Date: 2010-07-25 Alternate charging I purchased the AC power cord as an alternate to charge the GPS battery over night. It came with different plug configurations depending on what country your in or visiting and are easily changed. I can also charge my GPS by using the computer interconnnect cable or the cigarette lighter plug. I tried it and it work just fine. * Price is subject to change. |
