Date: 2009-05-07 Exactly what I needed Just bought a MacBook Pro and couldn't hookup my Sony DV camcorder to download videos. But I bought this firewire cable and it works beaustifully. Date: 2009-03-21 Excellent option I thought I was going to have to buy a $100 FW800 hub and a converter to use my FW400 video camera with my new iMac. This is the perfect solution to the new iMacs not having any FW400 ports. Daisy chained this cable from my FW800 backup drive to my video camera and it works like a champ. Couldn't be happier.
