Date: 2005-04-27 Simply the best buy for the money! All the points have been covered in other reviews but I have to say that I recived it with ZERO pixel defects and it was a snap to set up and when hooked up with my DVD was simply awe inspiring. Trust me I looked at the other high end LCD TV players and I cannot understand why anyone would buy them over this awesome buy. I am 100% satisfied. Not that this should effect your thoughts of my review but I have a degree in Applied Physics and write user manuals for a living and my wife has both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering and we BOTH came to the conclusion that this is the TV to get if you do not care about impressing the neighbors with the SONY or other big name. Date: 2005-04-27 Simply the best product for the money! I cannot tell you enought that if you do not have money to spend on a 32 inch LCD TV IMHO you are NOT losing out with this TV. I got it promptly and with ZERO pixel defects. I have found nothing that would need that is not avalable to me in this TV. IT looks good and has more connections than you will ever need. If anything can be nitpicked at ALL it would be that standard TV signals on some older shows you can see some grain and some distortion on movement BUT I have found that soly depends on the show you are watching and I increased the noise filter and that helped alot. As the other reviewer said if that is not enough for you go get the HD cable/Sat box and you have nothing but joy. Date: 2005-04-15 Simply fantastic This display offers the best value to be found at this time. It's image quality, when configured by someone who bothers to read the directions, rivals that of Sharp, Hitachi, and Sony. Yes, the remote stinks like gym socks, but at these prices that is hardly grounds for a serious complaint. Its response time and contrast ratio are both considerably better than the 27" and 30" Syntax displays offer. Some tech reviewers have been confused on this point: the response time is *8 ms*, not 12. This is really quite good. Similarly, the contrast peaks at *1200:1*, not at 800:1. The resolution is excellent (1366 x 768). Frankly, you will not do better. My use of it is as a computer display and DVD player with a DVI cable, which enables the native resolution without too much fancy tweaking. Images and text are sharp and vivid, and the amount of terrain across which I can display them is, well... substantial. Gamers will freak over this thing, as will movie fans. Thought I have not used it for HD cable, it has received glowing reviews from many users for whom this is its primary (or sometimes sole) function. Check its reviews as an HDTV at avsforum.com. That's where I got most of my information. Date: 2005-04-13 Incredible Value I received the TV a week ago from Amazon.com. I share all the positive reviews. I use regular cable and satellite TV and the image is clear, bright with sharp vivid colors. I use SAMSUNG DVD reader to convert regular DVD to HD signal using DVI port with excellent results. The remote is quite good and intuitive, except some may not like the feel of the plastic buttons. My only complaint is that the TV size appears bigger than what's needed since I use it in my room. Overall, an excellent product at a great price. Date: 2005-04-11 Great LCD for the price. Some people would complain if they had meat in their sandwich. I got my Olevia LT32HV 32" HDTV-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV about a week ago and I can't find anything wrong... DARN!! It's hooked up to digital cable at the moment so things are only good as the signal supplied. I'm in the middle of a move so I can't really hookup all my goodies but I'm truly satisfied with it as it is. If anyone has a problem with this TV, I feel they shouldn't operate anything more complicated than a door knob. It really is a good TV. The owners manual is a little skimpy but that's it. * Price is subject to change. |
