Date: 2009-11-03 Great Cables, shipping bad.. The cables are great, the 90 degree angle allows them to fit in my case better. My HDD mounts with the back toward the door so having the cable angle down keeps it out of the way of my door. The shipping was terrible. I ordered these from Amazon because of normally fast shipping. When I ordered them, the delivery date was 10 days away. I got other cables since that was too far away from when I needed them. They were delivered in 14 days. I could have walked them here from where they were shipped. Maybe they did... Date: 2009-11-02 Sata Cable, easy to use. I've typically not used SATA cables in the past, mostly owning the older parallel cable type, with jumpers to set and figure out. This was very straight forward, although you do have to look at the alignment at the end of the connector to plug it in correctly. Other than that, it went fine. Powered up and recognized the drive right away. I'm satisfied. Date: 2009-09-27 It works. What can I say? It's a cable. Bought it for use with a new hard drive. As of the posting of this review, it's been working fine for a month now. Date: 2009-09-12 Great purchase! Using this cable to connect a media drive to my motherboard. Works as it should with no problems. Date: 2009-08-07 "L" Type Connector Hello All, Note that this SATA data cable has the "L" type connector on both ends, and one connector is right-angled whereas the other is a straight connector. Check your device and motherboard's interface connector types before ordering. I first tried using it with the right-angled connector to the motherboard interface but it would not clear an electronic component, so I switched it around. Then, the right-angled connector attached to the rear of the SATA DVD drive would not clear the Ultra-IDE DVD drive installed beneath it (the SATA drive is shorter than the IDE drive by about 3/4"). So, I switched the locations of the DVD drives and the problem was solved. In the future, I will order straight connectors on both ends... Good luck! * Price is subject to change. |
