Features:
  • 36-inch screen
  • Invar shadow mask
  • Digital comb filter
  • 2-tuner picture-in-picture
  • Guide Plus+ Gold
The Zenith IQB36B44W 36-inch Stereo TV with Dual Picture-in-Picture is a full-featured tabletop television with many features for combined audio-visual excellence and convenience. It uses an Invar shadow mask and a comb filter. An alloy in the tube's shadow mask resists heat expansion and deformation, and thus prevents color distortion or "doming." The comb filter electronically controls and separates color (chroma) and picture (luminance) information to reduce "dot crawl" for a sharper picture. This set also offers MTS/SAP stereo surround sound and 10 watts of audio output so the audio quality is as crisp as the picture.

The Zenith IQB36B44W features the two-tuner picture-in-picture, a convenient way to watch two channels at once on the same TV. Dual tuners free up the VCR to record a third channel at the same time. Included with the two-tuner picture-in-picture are special features such as freeze, picture swap, audio swap, and move.

Guide Plus+ Gold, another convenient feature of the Zenith IQB36B44W, is a built-in electronic program guide that uses an easy-to-read grid guide system for easy channel navigation. The onscreen display has full color channel logos, station call letters, 3-D graphics, horizontal scrolling, direct tuning access through the grid, and theme color coding.

The Zenith IQB36B44W design also includes a trilingual icon menu system with TAG menus, easy mute, closed caption mute; flashback; channel add, delete, and surf; XDS (where available); onscreen speaker switch; time-channel display; SoundRite volume limiter; timer; programming; captions; and clock.

It comes in a warm bronze finish.

PIP Failed, but otherwise
I ALSO had the PIP fail in my unit, in fact - it never worked out of the box. Zenith service sent someone out, they had to haul it away for a few days (couldn't fix it onsite), and I got it back. Worked fine ever since. No other problems. So, only that little annoyance, and I'll give it 4 out of 5.

Poor Quality
It seems Zenith has quality control problems they are not dealing with. I bought a Zenith TV which had both a tuner and power supply failure within its short 3 1/2 year life span. The repair was more than the TV was worth! The tuners are junk and the power supplies are inadequate. I also purchased a Zenith DVD player that failed to work right out of the box!

Dont buy
I will never buy a zeith again... We bought ours and it lasted 1yr and 9 months and quit. The cost of repair was greater than the cost of a new TV. I would think a TV would last longer than a yr and 9 months.

Great TV Once the Bugs Were Worked Out
I had the same disappointing experience as some other reviewers with this TV: PIP failed almost immediately. The problem was fixed under warranty, but it took two weeks for the repair shop to get replacement internal circuitry from Zenith. I can't believe Zenith is unaware of this problem by now. Now that everything's running right, the set is terrific....Excellent picture and color (especially with digtal cable and a Zenith Inteq DVD player) and great sound (integrates well with my compact stereo sound system).

Great TV!
This TV replaced a 9 year old Zenith that required no repair during that time.Every feature on my new Zenith works great.Unless you just get a"bad apple"you will be very pleased.
